Personal Information

My first twelve years were spent in Jackson Michigan where circuses and county fairs filled summer months and snow was banked above my head along main street for months during winter. My middle school and high school years were spent in suburban St. Louis. After eight years of higher education in the Chicago area and four years as a pastor in Fairfield Montana I returned to St. Louis for an internship in clinical pastoral education. I have lived in the St. Louis area ever since.

While living in Montana my former wife and I were blessed with two boys. My eldest, David, lives with his wife Pepe and practices domestic violence law in tropical American Samoa, the only American territory south of the equator. My second son, father of my granddaughter, Amanda, lives in St Louis with his wife Laura. Both are teachers at John Burroughs School. They dabble in real estate and James coaches water polo.

Over the years I have added various interests and skills which have included dramatics, photography, camping, a printing business to name a few interests. Avocations of mine are learning about brain functions which included helping a neuropsychologist with evaluations, as well as gardening, and recently trying out a bread machine.
