Individual Counseling

Individual counseling allows a client to have the undivided attention of the counselor. It is appropriate for individuals who have a strong desire to improve their life.

Many clients enter counseling because they are dissatisfied with relationships which go sour, difficulties at work, or emotions and behaviors that are out of control. Others enter counseling due to bothersome thoughts. Some people are bothered about being worthless and others plagued by critical thoughts about friends and family.

When help from friends, spiritual guidance, or self help books do not bring satisfaction it is time to consider counseling. In order to change deep set habits we need feedback from a neutral person to counter self doubt and confusion.

Individual counseling is effective for developing independence and personal agendas. It can strengthen self esteem, clarify personal goals and provide a foundation for self advancement.
